David Williams was a staple of his family and community, serving as a father, son, coach, mentor, veteran, and friend.

An Aurora native, he is survived by his four children David Jr. "Weetie," Darien, Dionna, and Dannah. His many friends, former student-athletes, teammates, battle-buddies, band and choir mates, will also dearly miss him. 

​

The outpouring of love David’s family has received is a testament to the caliber of man he was and an attestation to the one-of-a-kind difference he made in the lives of so many.  

​

David’s community will fondly remember his charismatic nature and room-warming laugh and smile. His helpful manner and big heart will live on in the many charitable events, mentees, and loved-ones, to which David devoted his time and energy. 

​

His players and students will remember his wisdom and sound instruction. Through spiritual, academic, and athletic mentorship, David taught those around him to be students of life- always bringing their best effort, and a big smile, to the many obstacles of life.

Perhaps most of all, we remember and hope to emulate David’s generous spirit. David freely and cheerfully gave so much to so many people. Through his charm, and so much more, David truly made his world a better place.
